Pre-emptive compliance is the #1 way to cede power to fascism. The Common Council needs to act. Pass an ordinance, and if the fascists object? Take it to court. Fight back, you cowards.

It’s a massive failure on the sheriff, chief judge and county executive’s part and on the part of the county board in general that they are only now working on securing and protecting migrants at the courthouse. 

You can take action to ensure the processes for defending migrants that these stakeholders develop are as robust as possible. 

We already pay taxes to elected officials, if they don’t give us what we need then why do we think spending more taxes to create another group of people who will spend our money for us is a solution?
