Democratic voters and party members need to assert themselves against the donor class and their priorities. We need to demonstrate our dissatisfaction with the status quo politicians and their cautious, fascist-appeasing strategies. Overall, we need to deter Tony Evers from running for another term.

Fascists are currently taking over the most apocalyptically powerful country human history has ever known. Don’t want to imagine a fascist leader having their last day in a bunker while sitting on the US nuclear stockpile? Yeah, us neither. So, let’s prevent that!

Every time fascists label a group subhuman, they are starting a process that ends with dehumanizing everyone. Blocking that process by actively standing in solidarity with the targeted group is a foundational civic duty in a free society. 

The Democratic Party has been controlled by people who fail that duty, both nationally and locally.

Democracy in America is dying because it is a system that relies on the participation of the electorate. If the electorate is too vocal and active however, then liberals may have to pass laws that decrease their comfort and wealth, they may have to enact policies that could even cost them their donors, cushy do-nothing jobs, and friendships with republicans.

There are a lot of people running for Wisconsin Assembly and Senate who seemingly do not live in the place they’re running to represent. That’s perfectly, strangely legal. Do we really want a political system where a class of professional politicians simply sort out amongst themselves where to run, and why, without any preexisting connection to the specific community?
