We received this request that is circulating around and thought we would share it! We’ve also come across this petition to demand a House Speaker other than Hakeem Jeffries, which we encourage folks to also sign and share. Do both if you can.
While you’re at it, remember that Wisconsin’s legislative victories are attached to state leaders Dianne Hesselbein and Greta Neubauer who act in much the same ways as Schumer and Jeffries. Maybe if these national petitions catch on, something like them can be replicated at the state level to demand better leadership here as well!
Hey!
So I’m trying to start a calling campaign to make sure we do not get Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries in leadership. So I’m encouraging people to call Tammy Baldwin and their House Representative to make sure they do not support them.
Senator Baldwin’s contact info: 202-224-5653, email
Representative Mark Pocan’s contact info: (608) 258-9800, email
Representative Gwen Moore’s contact info: (414) 297-1140 email
Here is a quick script I wrote:
Hi, my name is [first name] a constituent of the [senator/representative] in [city]. I would like to leave comment for them. I am so happy from the results of yesterdays election and excited for the work of the [senator/representative] to continue. We have a mandate to bring some strong change in the US and we would like different leadership in the [Senate/House].
So please do not support [Schumer/Jefferies] as leader.

Thank you so much!
