UNION SUPPORTER TERMINATED BY DISCOVERY WORLD

We, the workers of Discovery World in Milwaukee, need your help!

On September 17th, 2025, we filed for an NLRB election at Discovery World to join the IAM Union. Since then, management has subjected us to numerous anti-worker tactics to dissuade us from exercising our rights to form a union.

The worst of these anti-worker and retaliatory tactics occurred on Friday, October 3rd, 2025, when Discovery World terminated Elijah Ewing-Scurlock, a model three-year employee, for exercising his rights to engage in concerted, protected union activities. Elijah had been working alongside us, his coworkers, to form our union with the IAM in hopes of achieving dignity, respect, and a voice in our workplace. Discovery World has yet to work with us on addressing these concerns of ours.

In response, we the workers submitted a petition to management on Wednesday, October 8th ,2025, demanding they reinstate Elijah no later than Friday, October 10th, 2025. Unfortunately, Discovery World has not reinstated Elijah and has once again ignored our voices, which is why we turn to you, the community of Milwaukee, to aid us in our fight.

We humbly ask you to stand with us. Please contact Discovery World at guestservices@discoveryworld.org or 414-765-9966 to demand they reinstate Elijah Ewing-Scurlock to his original position, rate of pay, and benefits, and to make him whole for all losses.
